Communities Across The World PDF Print E-mail

If we are to put in place all the support structures necessary to create a kinder, more spiritual global civilization, we need to become a large, global organization.  We need to trigger the same community building activities in foreign, especially non-English speaking countries that we set out to trigger in America. There are several things we can do to get the ball rolling... everywhere!

First and foremost, there are millions of foreigners, as well as foreign-born Americans living, working, visiting or studying here. These people are already living, more or less, in two contrasting cultures.  They're excellent prospects for taking this new idea that we begin to implement, home. If you go to school, church or work with any of them, or if you're good friends with them, let them in on our little secret.  This is especially important if your acquaintance comes from a poor or war-torn country

You may protest that S.O.U.L is written from a mostly American point of view, and may not appeal to non-Americans, especially non-Christians. That's partially, but not entirely true. A surprising number of people everywhere resonate with unitive spirituality and attempts to create kinder, more spiritual, more prosperous communities where there was only exploitation and poverty before. Furthermore, the message of S.O.U.L can be adapted to different cultures as it is translated into different languages. Foreigners who live in America are excellent candidates for doing just that.

We will recruit foreign writers who are fluent in English and who are committed to the philosophy that we espouse, to translate the book, and to add original material that is pertinent to their culture. If you are interested, please get in touch with us. The copyrights of these foreign editions will fully belong to the foreign S.O.U.L organizations. These editions should be printed and published by independent shops, perhaps cooperative businesses set up and operated by new communities. That way, all the revenues will benefit their campaign.

Since S.O.U.L intends to make test cases of Haiti and of Palestine in the global campaign against poverty and violence, I propose that the French and Creole language editions be published in Haiti, with all proceeds going to support the Haitian effort, and that the Arabic version be published in Palestine, with the proceeds going to the Palestinian S.O.U.L campaign.
